Autopsy

Autopsy is an open-source digital forensics platform used for disk analysis, file recovery, keyword search, timelines, and artifact review.

It may be used for certain computer forensics workflows, triage, and review when appropriate for the evidence question.

Open-source tools can be useful, but evidence handling and reporting still need a defensible process.
